1. Identify All Parts :

Before engine disassembly, all connecting Roads, Crankshaft, Bearings & all other parts should be numbered according to their location.

2. Check Connecting Rod Housing & Main Bearing Bores :

Connecting Rod & Main Bearing bores must be checked for alignment, taper roundness and size using bore gauge or inside micro-meter. If size & measurements of bore does not meet specifications, it should be reconditioned by a qualified machine workshop.

3. Clean Oil Passages in Crankshaft & Engine Block :

Be sure that Crankshaft & Engine block should be clean by checking oil passageways for hidden dirt & dust by using compressed air & brush.

4. Oil Holes & Lubricate Bearings :

Check all oil hole alignment for proper oil flow & lubricate all bearing surfaces.

5. Installation of Crankshaft :

Crankshaft should be installed onto the main bearings carefully to prevent damage & should be rotate be hand to see that it turns freely.

6. Installation of Connecting Rod & Rod Cap :

First Rod bolt threads must be covered to perfect crankshaft journals, connecting Rod & Rod Cap should be fitted as per proper specifications.

7. Check Clearance :

Clearance between Crankshaft & Engine Bearing should be clear & check by using a feeler gauge for proper oil firm during Rotate.

8. Engine Oiling & Lubricating System :

Check oil pump & lubricating system of engine before starting engine to product all system as well as engine bearings.
